The building roof layer structure comprises a superimposedwalkway slab, a cast-in-place roof layer, a first prefabricated module and a second prefabricated module, wherein the first prefabricated module and the second prefabricated module are located on a top layer; the superimposed walkway slab comprises a prefabricated slab body and a cast-in-place slab body; a pre-embedded sleeve I is arranged on a second side plate of the first prefabricated module;a pre-embedded sleeve II is arranged on a first side plate of the second prefabricated module; one plate surface of a first steel angle is fixedly connected to the pre-embedded sleeve I of the firstprefabricated module; one plate surface of a second steel angle is fixedly connected to the pre-embedded sleeve II of the second prefabricated module; the other plate surfaces of the first steel angleand the second steel angle abut against the lower surface of the prefabricated slab; the cast-in-place roof layer covers the first prefabricated module and the second prefabricated module; and the cast-in-place roof layer and the cast-in-place slab body are integrally formed in a cast-in-place mode. According to the building roof layer structure and the construction method thereof, the waterproofproblem of the building roof layer with the prefabricated modules arranged at intervals can be solved, the structural strength of the top layer of a modular building is improved, and therefore the modular building can show more design possibilities.
