The invention relates to a rapid sinking method for an open caisson of a rotational flow sedimentation tank. The construction period and the construction cost are saved by reducing the sinking elevation of a first section of the open caisson and optimizing the sectional manufacturing and sinking sequence; meanwhile, the manufacturing and sinking quality is effectively controlled by adopting a padframe technology, an observation technology and a refined excavation method; the sinking depth of a first layer is greater than 5m, so that the actual sinking height can be reduced; meanwhile, the contact area of a soil body and the side wall is reduced, so that the frictional resistance is greatly reduced, and sinking is facilitated; the next section of the open caisson can be manufactured by utilizing the concrete curing time through one-time sinking of sectional manufacturing; and meanwhile, the problem of repeatedly erecting and disassembling a scaffold during sectional manufacturing and fractional sinking is avoided, so that the construction period and the construction cost are saved.
