The invention discloses a soil layer anchoring structure for ecological protection of an expansive soil slope and a using method. The anchoring structure is arranged in a taper hole dug in the slope surface of the expansive soil slope in advance and comprises two arc-shaped anchoring base bodies and two fixing anchoring rods, wherein the two arc-shaped anchoring base bodies are symmetrically arranged, and a planting cavity for allowing plants with developed root systems to be planted is formed between the two arc-shaped anchoring base bodies; the edges of the two sides of the two arc-shaped anchoring base bodies do not make contact with each other, and stress buffer areas are formed; and the two fixing anchoring rods are distributed in a crossed mode, the upper end of each fixing anchoringrod penetrates out of one arc-shaped anchoring base body, and the lower end of each fixing anchoring rod is inserted into soil on the side wall of the taper hole after sequentially penetrating through the planting cavity and the other arc-shaped anchoring base body. According to the soil layer anchoring structure for ecological protection of the expansive soil slope and the using method, taper holes are dug in the slope surface of the expansive soil slope, the anchoring structures are arranged in the taper holes, and the anchoring structures can anchor and improve soil bodies near the taper holes to form anchoring joints, so that shallow landslide is prevented; and the plants with developed root systems are planted in the anchoring structures, and water and soil loss is prevented throughthe root systems of the plants.
