The invention relates to a buried municipal square rainwater collection system. The system comprises a rainwater collection center located in the middle of a square and rainwater conveying assembliesarranged at the side end of the rainwater collection center in the circumferential direction. The rainwater collection center comprises a rainwater collection jar at the bottom, a rainwater inlet flaring located at the upper end of the rainwater collection jar, a primary filter screen covering the rainwater inlet flaring and a filter screen set located at the lower end of the rainwater inlet flaring, wherein a water storage cavity is formed in the middle of the rainwater collection jar, a drainage channel is formed in the peripheral side of the rainwater collection jar, one end of the drainagechannel is communicated with the water storage cavity, the other end of the drainage channel is communicated with the rainwater conveying assemblies, and a rainwater storage cellar buried undergroundis arranged at the end, away from the rainwater collection jar, of each rainwater conveying assembly. The system has the characteristics of being suitable for squares of various sizes and forms, highin collection efficiency and the like.
