The invention discloses a door and window and an air tightness optimization method thereof. The door and window comprises an outer frame installed on a wall; the outer frame is defined by four outer frame bodies; a movable window and a fixed window are arranged in the range of the outer frame; a plurality of layers of hollow glass are installed on the movable window and the fixed window; a first sealing strip is arranged between the side, facing the indoor space, of the movable window and the outer frame bodies; a first sealing strip is arranged between the side, facing the outdoor space, of the fixed window and the outer frame bodies; and a second sealing strip is arranged on a vertical frame body, close to one side of the fixed window, of the movable window. By means of the first sealingstrips arranged between the outer frame and the movable window and between the outer frame and the fixed window and the second sealing strips arranged between the movable window and the fixed window,gaps between door and window frames are effectively blocked, air tightness is good, and good heat preservation, rain prevention and dust prevention effects are achieved. The door and window is simplein structure, convenient to operate and worthy of popularization.
