The chemical formula of the rare earth orthosilicate scintillating material with the silicon lattice site-doped competitive luminescence center is RE2(1-x)Ce2xSi1-yMyO5; the RE isa rare earth ion; the M is a second light-emitting center occupying a silicon lattice site and is selected from at least one of Ti, Cr, Mn and Co; and 0 < x <= 0.05, and 0 < y < = 0.1.
