According to the method, elemental silicon powder and silicon dioxide powder in the capping reaction step react to form silicon oxide gas, in the blast circulation step, a blast mechanism conveys the silicon oxide gas to a coating platform to coat a graphite workpiece on the platform to form a silicon carbide coating, and in the whole reaction process, gas in a reaction kettle forms circular flow, the silicon oxide gas can always react around the graphite workpiece, so that the technical problem of non-uniform coating of the existing graphite workpiece is solved.
