The invention relates to a push-pull sliding mechanism. The mechanism comprises a main cantilever, a pull rod, a sliding rod, and a fixedly-arranged positioning base. At least one clamping hook is arranged on the positioning base; a sliding groove is formed in the end of the sliding rod; the main cantilever, the pull rod and the sliding rod form a direct-acting sliding rod mechanism; the main cantilever is a driving link; pins can be clamped in the clamping hooks or disengaged from the clamping hooks; and if the pins disengage from the clamping hooks, the sliding rod can slide in the directionclose to or away from the positioning base. The invention further relates to a door and window; the door and window comprises a fixedly-arranged frame and a sash capable of being opened and closed; the frame and the upper edge or/and the lower edge of the sash are matched in an openable and closable mode through connecting parts respectively; and the connecting parts are the push-pull sliding mechanisms. The push-pull sliding mechanisms are installed on the door and window to serve as the connecting parts, and the four edges of the door and window sash can be disengaged from the frame, so that locking points can be arranged on the four edges of the door and window sash, and therefore, the sealing performance and the safety of the door and window are greatly improved.
