The invention relates to the technical field of slope protection engineering, and particularly relates to a water-permeable grid ecological protection slope and a construction method thereof. The water-permeable grid ecological protection slope comprises water-permeable grids, wherein the water-permeable grids are arranged on a slope surface in a square or herringbone shape; and the water-permeable grids are made of non-fine concrete. When the water-permeable grids are arranged in the square shape, the cross sections of the water-permeable grids are L-shaped, and the protruding parts of one sides of the upper parts of the water-permeable grids with the L-shaped cross sections are water guide ridges. When the water-permeable grids are arranged in the herringbone shape, the cross sections ofthe water-permeable grids comprise L shapes and U shapes; and the protruding parts of one sides of the upper parts of the water-permeable grids with the L-shaped cross sections are water guide ridges, and the protruding parts of the two sides of the upper parts of the water-permeable grids with the U-shaped cross sections are water guide ridges. According to the ecological protection slope, the hydraulic action intensity can be reduced, and the slope surface is prevented from being scoured in a centralized mode; the slope surface drainage speed can be increased, and the slope runoff is prevented from corroding the slope; and the underground water level can be reduced, and the anti-skid stability and safety of the slope are improved.
