The invention discloses a drainage device for coping with flood. The drainage device comprises a drainage machine body, an up-down through drainage channel is formed in the drainage machine body, theupper side of the drainage channel communicates with a communicating groove, the communicating groove communicates with six sliding connection grooves in the direction away from the center end face ofthe drainage channel in an annular array mode, and a bevel gear transmission groove is formed in the lower side of the communicating groove. During normal drainage, water flow flows into a water storage groove through a water inlet channel and then flows into a communicating channel to be discharged, and in case of waterlogging, the speed of the water flowing into the water inlet channel is higher than that of the water flowing out of the communicating channel, so that the water level of the water storage groove rises gradually, water thus flows into an extension groove from a linkage channel, and a water wheel rotates to open the drainage channel through transmission.
