The invention discloses a release agent for improving the surface compactness of concrete. The release agent is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by mass: 6%-50% of an oily base material, 0.1%-10% of a surfactant, 0.1-1% of a defoaming agent, 1%-20% of a silicon-based reinforcing agent, 0.1%-2% of a stabilizer, 0.1%-3% of an auxiliary agent and a proper amount of water. When being used on a building template, the release agent can improve the surface compactness of concrete and eliminate tiny bubbles, and has a gain effect on the improvement of the waterproof performance, the durability and the appearance quality of the concrete.
