The invention relates to a connecting structure and method for frame beams and a steel pipe column. The plurality of frame beams are arranged in the connecting structure and radially connected to the steel pipe column; the connecting structure comprises an annular bracket connected between the steel pipe column and the plurality of frame beams; the annular bracket comprises an upper annular plate and a lower annular plate which are fixed in the circumferential direction of the steel pipe column, and a plurality of stiffening plates which are connected between the upper annular plate and the lower annular plate at intervals in the annular direction; inner annular parts and outer annular parts are formed on the inner side and the outer side of the pipe wall of the steel pipe column by the upper annular plate and the lower annular plate respectively; and a plurality of stiffening plates are connected between the inner annular part of the upper annular plate and the inner annular part of the lower annular plate and between the outer annular part of the upper annular plate and the outer annular part of the lower annular plate in the circumferential direction at intervals. According to the invention, the technical problems that in the prior art, the field welding workload of the large bracket is large, the welding quality is not easy to guarantee and the steel pipe column is limited by traffic and transportation due to too large diameter are solved.
