The invention discloses an intelligent safety fence system of a transformer substation. The intelligent safety fence system comprises a camera, a first handrail and a second handrail, wherein the first handrail and the second handrail each comprise a base and a stand column arranged on the base, a telescopic belt is arranged between the stand columns of the first handrail and the second handrail, the camera is used for collecting images of the warning position of the safety fence system, at least two sets of infrared sensors are arranged on stand columns of the first railing and the second railing at intervals in the height direction, an infrared emitter is arranged on one side, an infrared receiver is arranged on the other side, an audible and visual alarm is installed at the top ends of the stand columns, the audible and visual alarm gives an alarm when at least one infrared receiver cannot receive infrared signals, and a GPS/Beidou positioner is further installed in the stand column. According to the intelligent safety fence system, active reminding can be carried out, and when the infrared sensor senses that a person intrudes, the audible and visual alarm actively (warns) the intruder and plays a role in reminding nearby workers to prevent an intruding event.
