The embodiment of the invention provides a construction method of a secant pile with an independent pilot tunnel. Retaining wall piles comprise plain piles and reinforced concrete piles which are alternately arranged, the secant pile is formed by mutually meshing the adjacent retaining wall piles, and the formed secant pile is used for a retaining wall of an underground excavation pit foundation. The method comprises the steps that the pilot tunnel facilitating construction of the retaining wall piles is excavated before construction of all the retaining wall piles according to the construction sequence of the retaining wall piles; the plain piles are constructed according to the construction sequence of jumping three and driving one; and the position of the reinforced concrete pile is located between every two adjacent plain piles, the section of each reinforced concrete pile is in lap joint with the sections of the two corresponding adjacent plain piles, and the mutually-meshed secant pile is formed. The pilot tunnel facilitating construction of the retaining wall piles is excavated before construction of all the retaining wall piles, and the cost is reduced.
