The invention discloses a positioning device for mounting of a construction I-shaped steel column, and relates to the technical field of building structures. The positioning device comprises a supporting assembly used for being connected with the I-shaped steel column in an inserted mode, wherein a locking frame is horizontally arranged above the supporting assembly and arranged on the I-shaped steel column in a sleeving mode; the locking frame and the supporting assembly are connected through a pair of adjusting assemblies; the two adjusting assemblies are symmetrically arranged on the two opposite sides of the I-shaped steel column, and a pair of positioning assemblies are symmetrically mounted between the two adjusting assemblies; the two adjusting assemblies are away from each other, and thus the two positioning assemblies position the inner side wall of the I-shaped steel column correspondingly; and the two adjusting assemblies are locked through the locking frame, and thus mounting and positioning of the I-shaped steel column are completed.
