The invention discloses a supporting assembly and a supporting method. The supporting assembly comprises a first supporting rod, a second supporting rod, a first fixing block, a second fixing block, a third fixing block, a fourth fixing block, a first inhaul cable, a second inhaul cable and a rotary fastener, wherein the rotary fastener is connected with the first supporting rod and the second supporting rod, so that the first supporting rod and the second supporting rod form an X shape; the first fixing block and the second fixing block are fixed to the upper end and the lower end of the first supporting rod correspondingly; the third fixing block and the fourth fixing block are fixed to the upper end and the lower end of the second supporting rod correspondingly; the first inhaul cable is connected with the first fixing block and the third fixing block and arranged at the lower end of the first supporting rod and the lower end of the second supporting rod; and the second inhaul cable is connected with the second fixing block and the fourth fixing block and arranged at the upper end of the first supporting rod and the upper end of the second supporting rod. According to the supporting assembly and the supporting method, the structure is simple, construction operation is convenient, the requirement of frame body erection for the space environment is low, and the construction cost is low.
