The invention provides a high-reliability additionally-installed elevator and installation equipment and an installation method thereof. The high-reliability additionally-installed elevator comprises: a pit section, standard sections and a machine room section which are each of a rectangular frame structure defined by four stand columns, wherein every two tops of the four stand columns are connected through a cross beam to form a square shape, the bottom of the pit section is fixedly mounted on a foundation, the bottom of the standard sections is fixedly mounted on the pit section, and the bottom of the machine room section is fixedly installed on the standard sections, and a traction machine is arranged in the machine room section; a lift car, vertically and movably arranged through a lift car guide rail in the standard sections, wherein the upper end of the lift car is connected with a traction rope, and the other end of the traction rope bypasses the traction machine and then is connected with a balancing weight; and corridors, wherein one end of each corridor is connected to a landing door, and the other end of the corridor is connected to a flat-layer entrance elevator entrance on the corresponding standard section. The invention further discloses installation equipment and an installation method of the high-reliability additionally-installed elevator. The high-reliability additionally-installed elevator and the modular and efficient installation method of the high-reliability additionally-installed elevator are provided for old building transformation.
