The invention discloses a construction method for reconstructing and expanding an existing elevated operation subway station building main body structure. The construction method comprises the steps that S1, landscape platforms are built on the two sides of an existing subway platform; S2, a side platform section I is built on each landscape platform; S3, an extension supporting platform is built outside an existing elevated operation subway in the subway rail direction; S4, a portal truss unit group is built outside the extension platform, and the portal truss unit group is hoisted to the extension supporting platform; S5, new canopy assembling unit blocks are hoisted to the portal truss unit group, moved to preset positions and then assembled to form a newly-built canopy; S6, an existing canopy is split into canopy split unit blocks, and after the canopy split unit blocks are hoisted and slid to the extension supporting platform through the portal truss unit group, integral hoisting is performed for disassembling; and S7, construction of a side platform section II is completed, and the side platform section II and the side platform section I jointly form a side platform. According to the method, construction can be conducted under the condition that normal operation of a subway is guaranteed, and the method has the advantages of being small in construction difficulty, short in construction period, low in manufacturing cost and the like.
