The invention relates to a lifting type trash rack which comprises an upper-layer movable grid mesh, a lower-layer fixed grid mesh, and a concrete base. The upper-layer movable grid mesh comprises an upper-layer movable grid mesh top plate and an upper-layer movable grid mesh bottom plate which are sequentially arranged from top to bottom, and a plurality of upper-layer longitudinal grid meshes which are sequentially arranged between the upper-layer movable grid mesh top plate and the upper-layer movable grid mesh bottom plate. The lower-layer fixed grid mesh comprises a lower-layer fixed grid mesh top plate and a lower-layer fixed grid mesh bottom plate which are sequentially arranged from top to bottom, and a plurality of lower-layer longitudinal grid meshes which are sequentially arranged between the lower-layer fixed grid mesh top plate and the lower-layer fixed grid mesh bottom plate. A hydraulic rod is installed on the lower-layer fixed grid mesh bottom plate; the upper end of the hydraulic rod is connected with the upper-layer movable grid mesh bottom plate; and the lower end of the hydraulic rod is fixed to the lower-layer fixed grid mesh bottom plate. According to the lifting type trash rack, the height of the trash rack can be adjusted according to the water level of a riverway, so that trash in the riverway is efficiently intercepted, and the trash in the riverway can be effectively cleaned in time.
