The invention provides a cleaning device and a joint cleaning method. The cleaning device is used for cleaning a joint mixture overflowing from a joint. The cleaning device comprises a cleaning brush, a mounting seat, an overrunning clutch and a transferring part, wherein the cleaning brush is used for making contact with the joint mixture so as to clean the joint mixture overflowing from the joint; the mounting seat is rotatably arranged around a preset axis, and the cleaning brush is detachably mounted on the mounting seat; the overrunning clutch is mounted on the mounting seat so that the mounting seat can drive the overrunning clutch to rotate; the cleaning brush is connected with the mounting seat through the overrunning clutch so that the cleaning brush can be mounted in the mounting seat or fall off from the mounting seat by adjusting the rotating direction of the mounting seat; and the transferring part is movably arranged along a preset working track, the mounting seat is mounted on the working end face of the transferring part, and the cleaning brush is driven by the transferring part to move along the preset working track so as to conduct cleaning. The problem that in the prior art, a joint mixture is inconvenient to clean is solved.
