The invention discloses an automatic icicle removing device for a pitched roof, and relates to the field of icicle removing devices. The device aims to solve the problems that an existing icicle removing device cannot automatically identify ice and needs manual icicle removing and cannot have universality. The automatic icicle removing device comprises a sliding rail fixed below a pitched roof eave overhanging part, a central control identification processor, and a icicle knock-off linkage device; the icicle knock-off linkage device comprises a linkage part and an icicle knock-off rod; the linkage part is arranged on the sliding rail and can move on the sliding rail; one end of an icicle knock-off rod is vertically fixed on the side wall of the linkage part, and the other end of the icicle knock-off rod exceeds the outer edge of the pitched roof eave overhanging part; the central control identification processor is used for storing icicle removing triggering conditions; when the icicle removing triggering condition is met, a knock-off device working signal is generated and sent to the icicle knock-off linkage device; and the icicle knock-off linkage device is connected with the central control identification processor and is used for enabling the linkage part to do reciprocating motion at least once along the sliding rail after receiving the working signal of the knock-off device.
