The invention relates to a coal gangue decarburization process which comprises the following steps of: 1, crushing, grinding and drying a coal gangue raw material; 2, fully premixing the coal gangue raw material treated in the step 1 with combustion-supporting gas in a mixing nozzle, spraying the mixture into a reaction chamber through the mixing nozzle, and before the mixture is sprayed into the reaction chamber, igniting and heating the mixture through an auxiliary fuel nozzle of the reaction chamber, and then spraying the mixture into the reaction chamber, so as to enable the coal gangue raw material to be subjected to combustion reaction in the reaction chamber for oxidation and decarburization; and 3, after the combustion reaction, feeding high-temperature flue gas, small-particle coal gangue powder and large-particle coal gangue powder into a settling chamber, enabling the large-particle coal gangue powder to fall into the settling chamber due to the dead weight, enabling the high-temperature flue gas carrying the small-particle coal gangue powder to enter gas-solid separation equipment, separating the small-particle coal gangue powder and the flue gas in the gas-solid separation equipment, and using the obtained small-particle coal gangue powder for subsequent production. The coal gangue powder in the process is large in reaction surface area, the reaction is faster and more uniform, decarburization is uniform, the decarburization efficiency is high, and the productivity is high.
