The horizontal derusting piece is matched and contacted with the upper surface of the steel rail; the vertical derusting piece extends into the rail groove and is matched and contacted with the side surface, exposed in air, of the steel rail; the horizontal rust removal mechanism and the vertical rust removal mechanism are both installed on the chassis. In the rust removal process, the steel rail rust removal robot can be suitable for rust removal of the embedded steel rail, automatic rust removal operation on the upper surface of the embedded steel rail and the side face, exposed in the air, of the embedded steel rail is achieved, the labor cost is reduced, and the rust removal efficiency is improved.
