The invention discloses a pipe pile internal connection mechanical joint and a connection method. The pipe pile internal connection mechanical joint comprises a first connection plate, a second connection plate, a connection plug and a clamping assembly, wherein the first connection plate is provided with a first fixing part capable of fixing the first connection plate to an end plate; the second connection plate is provided with a second fixing part capable of fixing the second connection plate to the end plate; the connection plug is fixed to the first connection plate; the clamping assembly is fixed to the second connection plate and can stretch into an inner hole of a pipe pile when the second connection plate is fixed to the end plate; and the connection plug can be inserted into the clamping assembly and is connected with the clamping assembly in a clamped manner. According to the pipe pile internal connection mechanical joint and the connection method, an existing pipe pile production process does not need to be changed, the mechanical joint can be directly applied to an existing pipe pile with the end plate, the structures of the end plate and a tensioning device and the existing pipe pile production process do not need to be changed, mechanical connection of traditional pipe piles is achieved, pile connection is convenient, construction is fast, and quality is reliable.
