The warning fence device comprises a fence frame, an intercepting plate arranged on the fence frame, a lifting mechanism, a sensor and a controller, wherein the lifting end of the lifting mechanism is located at the first end part of the fence frame in the height direction; the lifting direction of the lifting mechanism is the same as the height direction of the fence frame; one end of the intercepting plate is connected with the first end part, and the other end of the intercepting plate is connected with the lifting end; the sensor and the lifting mechanism are electrically connected with the controller; and the controller controls the lifting mechanism to ascend and descend according to a sensing signal sent by the sensor so as to enable the intercepting plate to stretch or contract. According to the warning fence device, the intercepting plate capable of ascending and descending is installed above the fence frame, so that the height of the fence frame is increased when pedestrians try to cross the fence frame, the pedestrians are prevented from crossing the fence frame, the safety of the pedestrians is guaranteed, and the construction efficiency is effectively improved.
