The invention discloses zirconium oxide ceramic powder which comprises the following components in parts by weight: 40-60 parts of zirconium oxide, 20-30 parts of aluminum oxide, 6-10 parts of titanium dioxide, 3-6 parts of nano tungsten carbide, 4-8 parts of glycerol, 3-6 parts of a toughening agent, 2-4 parts of epoxy resin, 1-3 parts of a dispersing agent and 30-40 parts of deionized water. The invention also discloses a preparation method of the zirconium oxide ceramic powder. The invention belongs to the technical field of ceramic powder preparation, and particularly provides zirconium oxide ceramic powder and a preparation method thereof. Compared with the prior art, the zirconium oxide ceramic powder has the following advantages and beneficial effects that (1) the prepared zirconium oxide ceramic powder is high in wear resistance, high in hardness and good in corrosion resistance; and (2) the process is simple, the efficiency is high, the cost is low, and the method is suitable for industrial production.
