The invention discloses a wave absorbing device. The wave absorbing device comprises a wave absorbing embankment, wave absorbing blocks, supporting rods and a flow isolating layer plate, wherein the wave absorbing embankment is composed of the wave absorbing blocks which are evenly distributed; the supporting rods are arranged at the bottom of the wave absorbing embankment and obliquely extend upwards relative to the wave absorbing embankment; the flow isolating layer plate is arranged on the top of the wave absorbing embankment and extends in the direction of the supporting rods to be connected with the supporting rods in a clamped manner; and protruding ribs are evenly arranged on the flow isolating layer plate. The wave absorbing embankment can block waves advancing fast, consume energy of the waves and change the advancing speed of the waves. When water flow passes through disordered gaps of the wave absorbing blocks, vortexes are immediately generated and become turbulent flow in the disordered direction, and the wave absorbing function can be achieved; and the flow isolating layer plate blocks a flow layer of the huge waves, the energy of the waves is consumed, the ascending water flow cannot ascend, the descending water flow cannot descend, the waves advancing fast are blocked, the frequency of the waves is changed, the wave crests of the waves are reduced, and therefore the impact force of the waves is relieved, and a bank embankment is protected.
