The overflow sand washing composite dam comprises an overflow dam body and further comprises at least two sediment flushing and discharging systems; the projection of the overflow dam body in the cross section of the overflow dam body is in a step shape on the downstream side; the sediment flushing and discharging systems are sequentially arranged on the overflow dam body at intervals in the length direction of the overflow dam body; and sediment in river channel water flow is discharged into a downstream side river channel of the overflow dam body through the sediment flushing and discharging systems under cooperation of the overflow dam body.
