The construction method comprises the following construction step that a, the ground is excavated till an original foundation is exposed, surface cleaning is conducted, and the ground within the reinforcing range of the periphery of the foundation is leveled; holes are punched in the side face, needing to be enlarged and reinforced, of the original foundation, anchor rods are fixed to the original foundation, then inorganic pouring materials are injected into the holes, and the holes are dense; steel channels are installed on the anchor rods and fixed to the original foundation through nuts and the anchor rods, then inorganic pouring materials are injected between the steel channels and the original foundation, and the holes are dense; a reinforcing mesh for reinforcing the foundation part is arranged on the leveled ground and fixed to the original foundation through welding of the reinforcing mesh and flanges of the steel channels; and concrete is poured to the designated elevation for reinforcing, and foundation soil is backfilled after the designated age is reached through maintenance. The construction method has the beneficial effects that the substation equipment foundation and the original foundation are connected together to form overall stress, and the bearing capacity of the foundation is improved.
