The invention relates to colored expanded vermiculite, a preparation method and application thereof. The colored expanded vermiculite comprises expanded vermiculite, thermoplastic resin distributed in pores of the expanded vermiculite and color master batches adhered to the surface of the expanded vermiculite; the mass of the expanded vermiculite is 1000 parts; the mass part of the thermoplastic resin is 20-50 parts; and the mass part of the color master batches is 20-50 parts. The colored expanded vermiculite obtained through the simple and rapid preparation process is excellent in heat insulation and sound insulation performance, high in color fastness, attractive in appearance and good in decoration performance.
