The invention discloses a reciprocating mechanism and a faucet using the same. The reciprocating mechanism comprises a base, an actuating block, a swing block, a magnet and a reset spring, wherein the actuating block is arranged on the base in a sliding mode, the swing block is rotationally arranged on the base, the rotating axis of the swing block is located in the middle, the magnet is located between the actuating block and the swing block, the upper end and the lower end of the magnet abut against the actuating block and the swing block in a magnetic attraction mode respectively, and the reset spring provides reset elastic force for the actuating block; when the actuating block is pressed down, the magnet is pushed, and then the swing block is pushed to swing; when the actuating block is loosened, the actuating block is reset under the action of the reset spring; and when the actuating block is pressed down again, the swing block swings in the opposite direction. The reciprocating mechanism is simple in structure, small in operation force, large in stroke and can be applied to a water way switching structure of the faucet or a valve, the influence of water pressure is small, and the hand feeling is good.
