The invention discloses a novel single-layer material for a building outer wall or the ground. The building material is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 20-50 parts of cement, 1-5 parts of methyl cellulose or hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose or hydroxyethyl cellulose or carboxymethyl cellulose, 10-20 parts of calcium carbonate or coarse whiting or superphosphate, 1-5 parts of latex powder, 0.3-0.6 part of wood fiber and 0.1-0.5 part of polypropylene fiber. The single-layer formula is unique, the building decoration material comprises the coating layer, the exterior wall tiles, the stone, the aluminum plate, the glass curtain wall and the concrete layer which are connected in a reinforced mode through fibers in the formula, the connection strength of the building decoration material is effectively improved, and the service life is prolonged; fibers effectively improve the tensile strength in the concrete and prolong the service life; and the material is applied to exterior wall leakage maintenance, exterior wall tile renovation, exterior wall flat coating renovation, new exterior wall waterproof decoration integration, old exterior wall waterproof maintenance and exterior wall transformation.
