The invention discloses a device for preventing a fire hydrant from being frozen. The device comprises a ground, wherein the fire hydrant is fixedly connected to the ground; a hydrant cap is fixedly connected to the upper side of the fire hydrant; the hydrant cap is connected with the fire hydrant in a sliding manner; and a water outlet is fixedly connected to each of the left side and the right side of the fire hydrant. According to the device for preventing the fire hydrant from being frozen, provided by the invention, the fire hydrant communicates with the atmosphere, so that when the air temperature is lower than zero DEG C, water is pressed back to the ground; the surface temperature is higher than the condensation point of the water, so that the water cannot be frozen; and then a water drainage plug is pressed, so that the water at two end openings of the fire hydrant is drained to the ground, the residual water is prevented from remaining at the water outlets of the fire hydrant to freeze the water outlets, and the fire hydrant above the ground is guaranteed to be free of water, so that the influence of freezing of the fire hydrant is isolated, and the fire fighting efficiency is improved.
