The invention discloses a continuous beam side span support which comprises a beam body connecting part provided with a first friction plate and a bridge pier connecting part provided with a second friction plate. The first friction plate and the second friction plate are arranged in an overlapped mode, and the bridge pier connecting part further comprises an anchoring buckle plate, an energy dissipation rod and a lower support plate installed on the lower surface of the second friction plate. The upper end of the anchoring buckle plate is buckled on the beam body connecting part, the lower end of the anchoring buckle plate is installed on the lower support plate, an inserting seam is reserved between the anchoring buckle plate and the side wall of the beam body connecting part, and the energy dissipation rod is attached to the side wall of the beam body connecting part and vertically penetrates through the inserting seam to be fixed to the lower support plate. The energy dissipation rod with the fixed energy dissipation function is arranged in the insertion seam so that when the continuous beam is subjected to transverse displacement in an earthquake, and transverse pulling impact is performed on the continuous beam side span support, a part of earthquake energy can be absorbed through the energy dissipation effect of the energy dissipation rod; and the arrangement of the insertion seam ensures that the energy dissipation rod has a certain movable extension space during energy dissipation, and the consumption of earthquake energy is further improved.
