The invention discloses a construction method for riverway steel box girder splicing, which comprises a concrete precast pile and a steel pipe pile, wherein the concrete precast pile sinks into water to serve as a mounting point of the steel pipe pile, the steel pipe pile is arranged on the concrete pile and is connected with and bears the weight of a steel box girder. The construction method comprises the following steps that S1, a pile position is set for pile sinking, and the concrete precast pile is mounted to a preset position; S2, a steel pipe pile is arranged at the upper end of the concrete pile, one end of the steel pipe pile is detachably connected with the concrete precast pile, and the other end of the steel pipe pile is connected with a steel box girder; and S3, the multiple steel pipe piles are structurally connected, and a supporting frame used for supporting and fixing the steel box girder is formed. The technical problems that due to the fact that a conventional steel pipe support is limited in bearing capacity in a riverway and tedious in dismantling process, the construction period is long, the manufacturing cost is high, and secondary utilization of the construction support is difficult are solved.
