The invention discloses a method for reinforcing an open caisson and an existing channel. The method comprises the following steps that S100, a plurality of first bottom sealing piles and a plurality of second bottom sealing piles are installed at the bottom of a foundation pit, and the first bottom sealing piles are located on the peripheries of the second bottom sealing piles; S200, concrete pipe piles are installed on the second bottom sealing piles along the preset positions; S300, open caisson side walls are installed on the first bottom sealing piles; and S400, high-pressure jet grouting piles are installed between the open caisson side walls and the existing channel, so that the high-pressure jet grouting piles are in lap joint with the existing channel and the open caisson side walls. By applying the method for reinforcing the open caisson and the existing channel, the water and soil pressure on the outer side of the foundation pit can be resisted, and a working space is provided for connecting a subsequent newly-built main body channel structure with the existing channel.
