The multilateral ribbed plate combined type water stop structure is characterized in that the construction method comprises the following steps of (a) excavating a groove, and building a guide wall; b) grooving the underground diaphragm wall on one side of a joint; c) removing sludge and residues at the bottom of the groove; d) hoisting a joint pipe; e) hoisting a reinforcement cage; (f) hoisting a water stop device; g) lowering a guide pipe, and pouring concrete underwater; h) inserting H-shaped steel into the water stop device and pouring fine aggregate concrete; i) grooving the underground diaphragm wall on the other side of the joint; j) pulling out a joint pipe; and m) circulating the step d) and the step j) until construction of the whole underground diaphragm wall is completed, wherein the water stop device is of a multilateral ribbed plate stiff steel pipe concrete water stop structure. The safety coefficient and the water stop strength are improved.
