The invention relates to a drainage system for a house building. The drainage system comprises an outer wall, floor slabs, drain pipes, a main drainage vertical pipe and a standby drainage vertical pipe, wherein the main drainage vertical pipe and the standby drainage vertical pipe penetrate through all floors to be communicated with a septic tank; the drain pipes and overflow horizontal pipes are arranged at the floor slabs; the lower ends of the drain pipes penetrate through the floor slabs to be communicated with the main drainage vertical pipe; first stop valves are uniformly arranged on the main drainage vertical pipe; one end of each overflow horizontal pipe is communicated with the main drainage vertical pipe; and a second stop valve is arranged on the standby drainage vertical pipe. According to the drainage system, a pressure sensor is used for detecting the pressure difference in a pipeline and judging a blockage point, a single chip microcomputer is used for controlling the first stop valves and the second stop valve to be opened and closed, sewage can be drained into the standby drainage vertical pipe through the overflow horizontal pipes, sewage is effectively drained, the water return phenomenon caused after the main drainage vertical pipe is blocked can be effectively avoided, the floors above the blockage point are prevented from being soaked by sewage, loss is avoided, and related disputes are also avoided.
