The invention discloses a B4C/graphite composite material with silicon carbide and a silicon coating layer on the surface. The B4C/graphite composite material comprises the components: a B4C material and a graphite material, Al2O3 powder, and Y2O3 powder. The preparation method comprises the steps: step 1, mixing boron carbide powder and graphite powder to obtain B4C/graphite composite powder; and adding Al2O3 powder and Y2O3 powder, carrying out ball milling, adding absolute ethyl alcohol and agate grinding balls, mixing, preparing slurry through ball milling, drying the slurry, and thus obtaining B4C/graphite mixed powder; step 2, putting the B4C/graphite composite powder into a graphite mold, carrying out hot pressing sintering to prepare a B4C/graphite composite material wafer, and carrying out hot pressing sintering under the vacuum condition; and step 3, making the B4C/graphite composite material wafer prepared in the step 2 into a strip-shaped sample, putting the strip-shaped sample into a graphite crucible, covering the surface of the strip-shaped sample with coarse silicon powder, putting the graphite crucible into a high-temperature siliconizing furnace, carrying out a siliconizing process, and obtaining a B4C/graphite composite material siliconizing sample through a siliconizing reaction. The method has the advantages that the surface hardness, the wear resistance and the high-temperature oxidation resistance are improved.
