The assembly type coal retaining wall comprises a foundation located below the ground and a coal retaining wall body located above the ground, wherein the foundation comprises foundation blocks and supporting columns arranged above the foundation blocks; the supporting columns and the foundation blocks are integrally formed; the coal retaining wall body comprises prefabricated slabs, steel columns and coping steel beams; the steel columns are fixedly connected to the upper ends of the supporting columns through bolts; the prefabricated slab is welded between every two adjacent steel columns through embedded parts; and the coping steel beam which abuts against the upper edge of the corresponding prefabricated slab and is used for bearing the load of an upper gas film is further welded between every two adjacent steel columns. The assembly type coal retaining wall has the advantages of short construction period, high strength, long service life and stable structure.
