The gypsum-based unfired aggregate is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 100 parts of gypsum, 60 to 80 parts of an active material, 5 to 12 parts of an alkaline activator, 5 to 10 parts of a quick curing agent, 0.2 to 1 part of a water reducing agent and 20 to 40 parts of water. According to the gypsum-based unfired aggregate prepared by the preparation method disclosed by the invention, the prepared aggregate can be solidified in a short time through the synergistic effect of the quick curing agent and other raw materials, the initial setting time is only 1-3 hours, the final setting time is 3-5 hours, and the aggregate is condensed in a short time, so that the next-step production is facilitated, and the production efficiency is improved; and meanwhile, due to the added quick curing agent, the prepared aggregate has relatively high strength within one day, the cylinder compressive strength within one day can reach 4-6 MPa, long-term maintenance is not needed, the production space of a factory is saved, and the efficiency is improved.
