The invention discloses a damping system for a pile hammer. The damping system for the pile hammer comprises a damping cavity body used for forming a damping cavity, a damping device arranged in the damping cavity, a heat dissipation air channel and a dynamic sealing device, wherein a first movable through hole of a heavy hammer is formed in the damping cavity body, a second movable through hole of the heavy hammer is formed in the damping device, the dynamic sealing device is used for connecting the heavy hammer and the inner wall of the first movable through hole of the heavy hammer in a dynamic sealing mode, and the heat dissipation air channel is used for communicating an inner cavity of the hammer shell with an inner cavity of a pile cap. According to the damping system for the pile hammer, the damping effect can be improved, and meanwhile the average maintenance period can be prolonged. The pile hammer comprises the hammer shell, the heavy hammer, the pile cap, an anvil, an airflow channel and the damping system for the pile hammer, and the heat dissipation air channel forms a part of the airflow channel. Heat dissipation of the damping device can be accelerated, and then the maintenance period of a buffering system is prolonged.
