The invention discloses a prefabricated building unit. The prefabricated building unit comprises a plurality of longitudinal supporting plates and transverse supporting plates, the transverse supporting plates are arranged at the tops and the bottoms of every two adjacent longitudinal supporting plates respectively and connected with the two longitudinal supporting plates, a prefabricated indoor space is formed between the longitudinal supporting plates and the transverse supporting plates, a prefabricated floor space is formed between the transverse supporting plates located on the lower portion, the parts, located on the outer side of the prefabricated indoor space, of the longitudinal supporting plates form stand column fixing parts, and the parts, located on the outer side of the prefabricated indoor space, of the transverse supporting plates form cross beam fixing parts. An assembled building adopting the prefabricated building unit comprises a plurality of prefabricated building units which are spliced in the horizontal direction and stacked in the vertical direction, and cross beams and stand columns which are arranged between every two adjacent prefabricated building units. The scheme has the characteristics of being high in standardization degree, small in site construction workload, low in construction cost, attractive in appearance and high in strength, and in addition, the invention further discloses a related construction method.
