The invention relates to a detection method of a facade waterproof layer, which comprises the following steps that waterproof layers are provided, and metal wires are fixed on the top surfaces of the waterproof layers and close to the end parts; the bottom faces of the waterproof layers are fixed to the facade, and the corresponding ends of the adjacent waterproof layers are in lap joint above the metal wires, so that the two adjacent waterproof layers are partially overlapped, and the metal wires are clamped between the overlapped parts of the two adjacent waterproof layers; an electric spark detector is used for detecting the overlapped part of the two adjacent waterproof layers, if the electric spark detector gives an alarm, the lap joint quality of the two adjacent waterproof layers is unqualified, and if the electric spark detector does not give an alarm, the lap joint quality of the two adjacent waterproof layers is qualified. The problem that the waterproof quality of the facade waterproof layer is difficult to detect is effectively solved, the metal wires are buried in the lap joint section of the waterproof layer, then whether the metal wires are exposed or not is detected through the electric spark detector, and therefore the laying quality of the waterproof layer is judged, the hidden danger of leakage is avoided, and the construction quality is guaranteed.
