The invention relates to a lattice wall for a flood diversion opening and a construction method. The lattice wall comprises an embankment; a flood diversion opening door is arranged on the embankment; the flood diversion opening door comprises a flood diversion opening door side embankment body and a flood diversion opening door bottom; the flood diversion opening door bottom is located under the flood diversion opening door side embankment body; lattice wall bodies are arranged at the two ends of the flood diversion opening door; a concrete coping plate is arranged at the tops of the lattice wall bodies; mortar rubble protection slopes are built on the two sides of the concrete coping plate; gabion protection feet are arranged at the bottoms of the mortar rubble protection slopes; the lattice wall bodies are enclosed by double-row cement soil mixing piles; and the lattice wall bodies extend below the bottom of the flood diversion opening door. The lattice wall is relatively good in overall stability, can effectively protect the safety of the embankment body outside an entrance, avoids heavy excavation of an existing embankment in construction, avoids manufacturing of a soft and hard contact surface between the embankment body and a protection structure, does not artificially increase the potential safety hazard of the embankment, and is simple in structure and convenient to construct.
