The invention discloses a Dutch Reach based automobile door and a door opening method thereof. The Dutch Reach based automobile door comprises a door body, an inner-opening handle, a door lock and a door controller, wherein the inner-opening handle and the door lock are arranged on the door body; the inner-opening handle and the door lock are electrically connected to the door controller through circuits; a sensor is arranged at the upper end of the door body; the sensor is electrically connected to the door controller through a circuit; the sensor can sense a palm; and while the door needs to internally open, one hand is put at the upper end of the sensor and the other hand pulls the inner-opening handle. The Dutch Reach based automobile door is reasonable in structural design, can guarantee passengers in a car adopt the Dutch Reach while the door needs to internally open, and make the passengers observe a traffic condition at the lateral rear side, so that traffic accident probability while the door is internally opened is greatly reduced.
