The invention relates to an ecological protection slope for vegetation recovery of degraded grassland. The ecological protection slope comprises a concrete layer, a plurality of drainage grooves, a plurality of planting structures, an irrigation structure and a controller, wherein the concrete layer is fixed on a slope body through concrete foundation piles; the plurality of drainage grooves are formed in the concrete layer at intervals; the planting structures are arranged between every two adjacent drainage grooves; the irrigation structure comprises a water storage tank, a filtering structure, a drainage hole and a pipeline, the water storage tank is formed between two adjacent grooves, and the water storage tank communicates with the groove above the water storage tank; the filtering structure is arranged at a communication port of the water storage tank and the groove; the drainage hole is formed in the inner wall of the water storage tank, and the outlet end of the drainage hole is located above a drainage tank; one end of the pipeline is connected to the bottom of the water storage tank, the other end of the pipeline downwards penetrates through the concrete layer and extends to the position above the planting structures below, and the pipeline is provided with an electromagnetic valve; and the controller is electrically connected with a power supply device and used for controlling opening and closing of the electromagnetic valve according to a humidity value detected by a humidity detection sensor. The device prevents landslide of the slope body and vegetation damage, so that the stability of the slope is ensured, and the survival rate of plants is improved.
