The invention relates to the field of construction building structures, and particularly discloses a conversion bracket type steel structure for high-altitude construction of a steel structure. The conversion bracket type steel structure comprises a foundation supporting part, a near edge protection part and a stand column supporting part; the foundation supporting part comprises base longitudinal beams, base cross beams, a base vertical supporting cross beam and base supports; the near edge protection part comprises guardrail stand columns and near edge guardrails; and the stand column supporting part comprises support stand columns, stand column inclined struts and bracket horizontal supports. The invention further provides a construction method of the conversion bracket type steel structure. The construction method comprises the following steps that the base longitudinal beams, the base cross beams, the base vertical support cross beams and the base supports are connected; the guardrail stand columns and the near edge guardrails are connected; and the support stand columns, the stand column inclined struts and the bracket horizontal supports are connected. According to the invention, the foundation supporting part is used for being connected with a supporting frame to form an overall stable temporary supporting system, and meanwhile, a truss sectional lower chord is supported; the near edge protection part is used for protection; and the stand column supporting part is used for supporting an inverted triangular truss upper chord to prevent a truss from overturning.
