The invention relates to the technical field of road construction and particularly relates to a method for installing a bridge girder erection machine at a tunnel exit. The method comprises the following steps of completing construction of a tunnel and a roadbed, a bridge abutment and a bridge pier at the tunnel exit; the bridge girder erection machine is disassembled, and a middle support assembly, a rear support assembly, a hoisting crown block, a transverse moving wheel box and a transverse moving rail are disassembled and transferred to a tunnel exit to be temporarily stacked; the girder transporting trolley is used for transporting the girder from the tunnel entrance to the tunnel exit; the middle supporting assembly and the rear supporting assembly drive the main beam to move forwards until the front supporting leg reaches the position, above the transverse moving wheel box, of the pier; and the position of the main beam is finely adjusted, so a bottom flange of the front supporting leg is aligned with and abuts against a top flange of the transverse moving wheel box, a corresponding fastener between the front supporting leg and the transverse moving wheel box is installed, and installation of the main beam is completed. The method is advantaged in that difficulty and complexity of mounting the bridge girder erection machine can be reduced, and construction cost is reduced.
