The invention relates to a steel mesh formwork wall which comprises a light steel framework, a wall face inner steel mesh, a wall face outer steel mesh and a reinforcing framework; the wall face inner steel mesh and the wall face outer steel mesh are fixed to the two sides of vertical keels respectively; the reinforcing framework is fixed to the wall face inner steel mesh and the wall face outer steel mesh; a light concrete layer is arranged between the wall face inner steel mesh and the wall face outer steel mesh; the maximum width of meshes of the wall face inner steel mesh and the wall face outer steel mesh is smaller than the particle size of aggregate in the light concrete layer; and surface layers are arranged on the opposite faces of the wall face inner steel mesh and the wall face outer steel mesh. The invention further relates to a construction process of a steel mesh mold. The construction process includes the steps of conducting base layer surface treatment; conducting measuring and setting out; fixing angle steel; installing the light steel framework; pre-burying and mounting water and electricity pipelines; mounting the wall face inner steel mesh and the wall face outer steel mesh; mounting the reinforcing framework; conducting light concrete pouring construction and maintenance; and conducting surface layer construction and maintenance. The steel mesh formwork wall can be simplified, the weight is light, the strength is high, and the anti-seismic performance is good.
